I like the sustainability and scalability model of this idea. It builds on existing system (informal waste pickers) and as such it will be low cost and can be implemented under one year. I also like the idea of data collection system because at long run, the data can be used by relevant stakeholders to make appropriate decisions. Lastly, I hope that if this idea is pursued and implemented appropriately, the IWPs income will increase and Kano State will be one of the cleanest cities in Africa.
